Our annual Charity Golf Day was compromised this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But still determined to make a difference, S2S decided to adapt with a virtual variation.
As events were cancelled worldwide many charities have suffered to raise funds through their usual activities. That’s why it was as important as ever for our Golf Day in aid of Hallam FM’s Cash for Kids to go ahead. Their funds had been severely impacted, leaving more children across the UK vulnerable.
So, our Golf Day went virtual.
Our Virtual Golf Game
How? This year the S2S team encouraged participants to swap their golf clubs for computer mice to make donations and fill out an interactive scorecard.

Participants chose which of the 4 players they thought would perform best on each of the 18 holes in the Virtual Golf Game. After the scorecards were completed and collected, the person with the most correct guesses won a bottle of Taittinger champagne. The concept for the game was simple, fun, and most importantly, raised money for a worthwhile charity.
Congratulations to our winner
Jason Hargeaves from IMH recruitment won this year, collecting his champagne prize at our facility while socially distancing to keep everyone safe.
Our winner also kindly made an extra donation to the Cash for Kids charity to bring the total raised to £1,002.56.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to those who participated in the event and helped us raise this donation for a charity our business is very passionate about.
What’s to come in 2021
As the restrictions from COVID-19 ease, we hope to bring our players back on the green next year so they can show off their skills in-person to help raise money once again for a well-loved charity. Keep up to date on our charity events and news for our future events and charity participation.
