S2S has agreed to donate £5,000 in partnership with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT), which will be used to restore woodland in Ormsgill Wood, near Airton.
The donation will be used to help fund the planting of 500 broadleaf trees, ensuring that Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust can continue to support the people, landscape and wildlife of this special area.
Alan Dukinfield, Commercial Director at S2S, is proud to support the work done by Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust and believes that the partnership will not only help the environment but also the wellbeing of staff who will be involved in the whole process of tree planting and maintenance of the trees and woodland over the coming years.
Alan said: “S2S Group has set itself ambitious targets in order to reach carbon neutrality by 2030. In addition to working in partnership with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, S2S has signed up to the Science-Based Targets initiative, committing to a target that aligns with limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

Based in Clapham in the south of the National Park, Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust has supported the planting of more than 1.5 million trees since 1996, creating habitat and breathing spaces for everyone to enjoy.
It is also helped to deliver inspiring projects in the Yorkshire Dales covering areas as diverse as countryside apprenticeships, supporting local communities, education and outreach, restoring woodlands and wildlife habitats, and improving access and understanding of this special place.
