S2S Group support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals aim to tackle the global challenges that we face including poverty, inequality, and climate change.
Environmental responsibility is key to who S2S Group are as a business. S2S Group make sure that they are constantly improving their environmental and ethical practices too.
And for this very reason, The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals matter greatly to the company.
After working with TBL (Triple Bottom Line) in an “Identify Workshop”, S2S Group was able to assess each of the 17 goals and highlight those they felt were the most relevant to the business and the goals they felt could have the most direct positive impact.

As a result of the workshop S2S Group identified 3 goals most relevant to the business, these are:
- SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production
- SDG 13 Climate Action
Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

S2S Group will generate employment, pay the national living wage, and boost the local economy.
S2S Group will ensure that the business is a national living wage employer by the end of 2022.
S2S Group have created career opportunities for over 50 people.
Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

S2S Group will reduce the amount of waste they produce as a business and encourage users to look at second-user IT equipment.
It is S2S Group policy to not dispose of any products, waste materials, raw materials, and packing directly into a landfill facility, or discharging to land.
Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action

S2S Group seeks to reduce the business impact on the environment with internal operations monitoring energy use.
S2S Group aims to use their own self-generated electricity and, by 2025, aims for that percentage to be 50%.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is one of the world’s most important action plans.
