New EV charging port at S2S facility to decrease our carbon footprint
In February, we unveiled our new electric van to assist with client collections and do our part to reduce CO2 emissions. With the purchase of our green collection vehicle, we have installed a brand-new port from myenergi to charge up our van, without using any fuel.
S2S are extremely committed to helping the environment and contributing to our corporate social responsibility. By fitting the EV port at our facility, we hope to meet the growing demand for collections in a greener and more efficient way.
The specifications of our new port:
The charging port meets the requirements of our new vehicle, the Nissan e-NV200. We are using the eco-smart myenergi EV charger:
- Pin-code lock
- Rated power of 7kW or 22kW
- Supply frequency of 50 Hz
- 18th edition ready (up to date with the latest British Standards)
How helpful are EV charging ports?
Charging ports are beneficial for any business wanting to improve their general operations and company image. That’s because, with an electric vehicle port (EV), you can charge your fleet for much less than it costs to fill up a traditional vehicle.
Although this may seem expensive at first, you will gain back your investment in savings and find your travel operations are much cheaper.
Not only will you save money in the long run, but working towards your social responsibility is always worth the investment. Customers and employees will appreciate your awareness of cutting carbon emissions and value your effort in making the workplace greener.
