Secure On-Site Data Destruction for a National IT Provider

Recently, we delivered a critical project for a national IT company based in Warrington. The client required a secure, efficient, and fully transparent solution to destroy a large number of sensitive storage devices, while maintaining complete compliance with data protection standards.

The scope of the project included the secure destruction of 238 storage devices, consisting of M.2 drives, 2.5″ SSDs and mechanical drives, 3.5″ hard drives, and several external drives. Our team worked closely with the client to ensure the project was planned and executed with the level of precision we’re known for.

The entire project was completed in a single day at the client’s premises in Warrington. Our team began by collecting and verifying every asset against the provided inventory list, ensuring nothing was missed and everything was fully accounted for. The job was managed by Rachel Hall, our COO, and me, offering the customer a direct and senior point of contact throughout the entire ITAD process, ensuring complete clarity and understanding of the project’s progress.

Each device was logged and tracked before undergoing certified on-site destruction, guaranteeing that all sensitive data was irretrievably destroyed. As the process took place directly at the client’s location, their team was able to observe each stage, providing total transparency throughout the day. This allowed us to focus on building client trust and proving that their data is handled responsibly from start to finish.

Once the destruction was complete, we provided the client with detailed reporting and certification of destruction, ensuring they had the documentation required for internal compliance and future audits.
