S2S Group Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025
S2S Group, March 2025
This Year’s Theme: Accelerate Action
International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated globally on March 8 to honour women’s achievements and advocate for gender equality.
This year’s theme is “Accelerate Action”, emphasising the urgency to expedite progress toward gender parity.

How We Show Our Support
S2S Group has recently incorporated Goal 5 of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, achieving gender equality, into our core business objectives. This commitment is deeply important to us, as we support the movement to bridge the gender gap in general and across the wider business world.
Goal 5 aims to create a world where men and women have equal opportunities, rights, and responsibilities, ensuring a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
We also provided some treats for the Women to enjoy.

The Women of S2S Group
We asked some of the Women of S2S Group some questions based on this year’s IWD theme. Their responses were truly inspiring…

Rachel Hall
Chief Operating Officer
Q: What’s the most rewarding part of your job, and how has your journey shaped your perspective as a woman in the workplace?

The most rewarding part of my job is developing and growing employees – seeing people reach their full potential is truly fulfilling. My journey has also reinforced an important lesson: women don’t have to be men in the boardroom.
We bring our own unique strengths that contribute to a positive and successful working environment, and we shouldn’t shy away from them just because they are traditionally seen as feminine or less dominant. Embracing diversity in leadership styles makes businesses stronger, and I’m proud to be part of that change.
Keeley Lambert
Compliance Officer
Q: How does it make you feel that S2S Group has recently added Goal 5 – Achieve Gender Equality within the workplace, to its sustainable development goals?

S2S Group adding Goal 5 to their objectives is incredible, in a traditionally male dominated industry it shows that S2S Group understand gender inequalities and using their platform to push for equality , this kind of commitment isn’t just necessary but leads by example.
30% of our work force is women, we have women within our higher management team and women who have a voice in board meeting when making important business decision, it shows S2S Group understand the need to empower women in the workplace.

Faye Fowler
HR Manager
Q: What challenges have you overcome as a woman in your career, and what advice would you give to others?

Being a Mum to two boys, football agent, mummy to a toddler, chief cuddle monster, carer, forces wife and work widow, it’s certainly been a huge challenge at times trying to juggle all the plates that come with working, managing work life balance and trying to progress your career.
My advice would be don’t ever lose yourself and keep on believing, anything is possible. GIRL POWER ✌️

International Women’s Day represents a day to share the achievements of women across history while also shining a light on the challenges that still remain within businesses and personal life.
It’s a celebration of resilience, innovation, and leadership within women. As well as a chance to amplify awareness and share knowledge about the importance of gender equity – something that benefits everyone.
