S2S Group partnered with St Bede’s Catholic Primary School to provide a secure and responsible Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling service.

The school required a professional solution to dispose of outdated IT and electrical equipment while ensuring data security and environmental responsibility.

        S2S Group visited St Bede’s Catholic Primary School to collect two full cages of WEEE items, totalling 190kg. The collection included a variety of IT and electrical equipment, all of which were carefully transported to our Rotherham facility for responsible recycling and secure data destruction.

                                  • Secure Data Destruction 

                                    • All hard drives were securely shredded at S2S Group’s facility, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. 

                                    • Responsible Recycling 

                                      • Non-data-bearing equipment was processed in accordance with the European WEEE Directive and environmental best practices. 

                                      • Full Documentation 

                                        • The entire process was logged using S2S Group’s bespoke T-card booking system, ensuring complete traceability. 

                                        • Efficient Collection & Processing 

                                          • The WEEE was safely loaded, transported, weighed and processed through appropriate recycling channels. 

                                          Ensuring Security & Compliance 

                                          At the core of this operation was S2S Group’s commitment to secure and compliant processes: 

                                          • Two operatives attended the site, securely packed the assets into secure cages, and transported them to S2S Group’s facility. 
                                            • Upon arrival, assets were weighed and assessed by IT and warehouse teams for refurbishment or destruction. 
                                              • Devices suitable for resale were refurbished, data erased using Blancco software, and refreshed to function like new. 

                                                • BER assets were securely destroyed, with full certification of destruction provided to the customer.
