    Given the sensitive nature of their business, the gaming company required a secure ITAD solution to safely dispose of both data-bearing devices and general IT equipment, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. The assets, including laptops, hard drives, monitors, and accessories, each required specific disposal processes to guarantee data security and environmental compliance. S2S Group customised the solution to meet these needs, offering a comprehensive service that included data destruction, general recycling and asset tracking. 

    • Hard Drives: Data-bearing devices, such as hard drives, were securely shredded on-site to 15mm particles. The destruction process was witnessed by the client for full accountability. 
      • General Recycling: Non-data-bearing items, such as monitors and cables, were recycled in compliance with the European WEEE Directive and POPs regulations. 
        • Asset Tracking: All assets were monitored in real-time through the Trakk-IT portal, providing transparency throughout the entire ITAD process. 

          • Implementation of Trakk-IT

          A key component of the project was the implementation of Trakk-IT, S2S Group’s bespoke asset tracking solution. The portal allowed the client to monitor their assets throughout the destruction and recycling process, ensuring complete transparency and visibility. 

          ITAD services were performed at the client’s London office, where S2S Group’s team conducted on-site destruction of 188 hard drives. Additionally, 79 other data-bearing devices, including laptops and PCs, were securely destroyed and recycled at S2S Group’s facility. Every asset was carefully tracked, and destruction certificates were provided for the client’s audit trail.

          • General Recycling: 475kg of non-data-bearing items, including cables, monitor stands, and keyboards, were recycled. 
            • On-Site Destruction: 188 hard drives were shredded on-site to 15mm particles. 
              • Secure Data Destruction: 79 laptops, PCs, and other devices were securely destroyed at S2S Group’s facility. 
                • Asset Tracking: The Trakk-IT portal provided real-time visibility of all assets throughout the ITAD process.

                  • On-Site Shredding: The client requested the on-site destruction of hard drives to 15mm particles and wished to witness the process. S2S Group dispatched a secure shredding truck with security-cleared staff to their location. 
                    • Regulatory Compliance: All destruction activities were carried out in line with industry regulations, including the European WEEE Directive. Materials were recycled responsibly, and the client received Waste Transfer Documents and Certificates of Destruction for their records.
