S2Say It – Insights from Kerry Arnold on Becoming Carbon Neutral in the E-Waste Sector
S2S Group, August 2025
At S2S Group, our team of experts are at the core of everything we do, delivering environmentally sustainable and secure customer solutions for businesses.
Our S2Say It blog series shares the insights and experiences of our team members, providing valuable thought leadership on the ITAD industry.
In this edition, we sit down with Business Development Manager, Kerry Arnold, to discuss her reasons for entering the IT Asset Management sector, her passion for creating a sustainable business model, and what she envisions for the ever-changing ITAD management industry in the next five years.

What’s your role at S2S Group?
As Business Development Manager, I work predominantly in identifying growth opportunities for S2S Group and driving strategic initiatives that generate growth and revenue, expand the customer base and increase market share.
What inspired you to get involved in the IT Asset Management sector?
The appeal of working in a regulated, fast-changing sector is exactly what motivated me to join our team back in 2017.
I have a keen interest in data security, sustainability and tech lifestyle management. These were the key drivers for getting involved in the sector.
My interest in sustainability is particularly aligned with S2S Group’s drive to becoming carbon net zero as soon as possible. More recently, we achieved EcoVadis Gold accreditation, which reflects the hard work of our team who go the extra mile to ensure we have a positive impact on our local communities, society and the environment.
Why is IT Asset Disposal important for businesses? How does it add value?
Working closely with our clients and my colleagues, I focus on ensuring the compliant, efficient destruction of data, in accordance with sustainable practices. This has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of the importance of providing a reliable service and how it impacts individual clients.
IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) is critically important for businesses, not just for clearing out old equipment, but for protecting data, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting sustainability by minimising the level of e-waste they generate.
How does S2S Group tailor its approach to companies of varying size, in different sectors?
As Business Development Manager, a crucial aspect of my role is tailoring our approach and service to different clients, both current and prospective, to provide the best outcome for the customer.
At S2S Group we adapt our ITAD and asset management services to suit the company size and industry sector, delivering tailored solutions that meet specific business needs. This helps us to deliver the most comprehensive, thorough service possible to best suit the needs of our customers.
Whether you’re a small independent business who only has a small number of redundant IT assets, or you’re a large-scale private sector organisation which needs to protect a large amount of secure data, S2S Group can work with you to ensure your IT assets are managed correctly. Our Trakk-IT portal gives you full visibility throughout the process, providing real-time updates from collection through to certification.
How has customer demand evolved in recent years?
Customer demand in the ITAD sector has evolved significantly in recent years, driven by changes in technology, regulation, sustainability goals, and security concerns.
For me, the changes that best encapsulate how the sector is constantly evolving are the importance of an increased focus on data security in a time where technology is advancing constantly and threats are ever present, and the shift towards customers wanting a far more sustainable service, as well as maximising the value of assets, particularly at the end of their life.
As Business Development Manager, this falls under my remit and is the one of the most appealing aspects of my role.
Where do you see the biggest opportunities for growth in the industry in the next 5 years?
The biggest opportunities for development within the ITAD sector lie within rising environmental concerns, that will impact more businesses soon.
S2S Group is continuing to progress its commitment of ensuring that all clients are hitting their carbon goals, reducing e-waste and reporting duties, to create a more sustainable industry for all.
The refurbishment and resale market is another massive opportunity for growth in the sector within the next five years.
One thing is for sure, wherever the industry pivots to soon, the team at S2S Group will be at the forefront of all the changes, providing the most efficient and sustainable ITAD service to our ever-growing list of current clients and prospective partnerships.
