Celebrating 30 Years of Service at S2S
This Monday, we are officially turning 30 years old. As a result, we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary milestone and three decades of service within the ITAD industry.
Over the past 30 years, we’ve grown significantly as a business. We have developed innovative, secure services for and on behalf of our vast client portfolio. We’ve built a formidable team of dedicated staff and have dealt with millions of assets from thousands of clients. We have been collecting and securely processing IT equipment all across the UK and mainland Europe.
How did it all start?
Previously a manufacturer of soft start mechanisms, Saftronics 2S Ltd merged with Bruce Rid Recycling Ltd, a firm that specialised in electronics recycling. The successful formation of both parent companies led to the incorporation of who we are today, S2S Electronics Ltd.
The implementation of the EU WEEE Directive in 2005 identified a new market and a change in direction. As demand for WEEE recycling grew, the manufacturing element of the business was sold off and we began offering clients a variety of secure IT disposal services instead, including our specialist IT Asset Recovery, WEEE Recycling and Data Destruction solutions.
And so, S2S Group was formed.
We’ve come a long way since our start-up in 1987 and all credit to the hard work and dedication of our specialist teams, who have developed strong working relationships with our clients and suppliers.
We’d like to think we have made a difference and acted as a positive contributor to our environment, helping businesses understand their data security needs and responsibility to WEEE waste.
